250 users, 46 stores, 56 vendors, no per-seat licence
A repairs and maintenance ticketing system rebuilt so that adding a user costs nothing and works on any email domain.
Client work is anonymised. One client, a 78-store QSR group in South Africa.
The problem
The existing no-code ticket app charged per user, and could not license staff on outside email domains. The business wanted 250 users. The licence model made that impossible, so the people closest to the faults were the ones who could not report them.
What we built
An installable web app with two screens: one for store staff to report a fault with a photo, one for the maintenance team to triage, assign a vendor and log the cost. Login is by email link, so it works across any domain. Submissions queue offline and send when signal returns, which matters in a back-of-house area.
What changed
46 stores and 56 vendors on one system, 250 users with no seat fees, and no app store in the way of getting it onto a phone.
How it is governed
Every ticket carries who raised it, who assigned it and what it cost. Vendor assignment is a person's decision, recorded as one.
What this takes
Scoped per system. The build is straightforward; the work is in the triage rules and who is allowed to assign what.
